Silver Hares News February 21, 2026
Our morning with 40+ Silver Hares started with a sunny sky, a little wind and -6, sure felt a bit more chilly on the long downhills at first. A bit of uphill skiing soon took care of that chilly feeling At session end we were about -3 degrees.
Lunch saw about 30 Silver Hares socializing, much of the chatter being about the Olympics and tomorrow’s early 5:10 am hockey gold medal final Canada vs the USA. Go Canada!
Kit Pizzey picked up some new hardware at, ” World master Championships in Italy, congrats Kit you do us proud!
Meanwhile this weekend at the Bill Gairdner Canadian Masters Championships in Fredericton, Amanda and Jack Kosmerly have been representing the Hares on the podium . Their skis did not arrive with them initially so they’ve been racing on borrowed skis.
Amanda has captured 2 gold medals and Jack has 1 bronze so far with more racing on the 22nd.
Here some pics… notice the Silver Hares kit.
