Silver Hares News February 7, 2026
Andy, Jo and Janice, SSASS staff (SilverStar Adaptive Ski School ), brought out the SitSki we helped them purchase for everyone to see. Any Silver Hare wishing to take a ride, please talk with SSASS.
We keep getting lucky gang, though our snow levels are below normal this year the trails were great today. The sky was overcast the mood was not, everyone I talked to had an excellent ski and lots happy smiles to go around. There was gentle falling snow, for much of our ski…kinda like skiing in a life size snow globe. We were 40 -50 Silver Hares on the trail. Our lunch social had 30 or so noisy happy chatty Hares trading stories of the day.
Karen Adie Henderson’s bread making class ably assisted by Cyndy was a big hit. Karen did an amazing job with preparation and delivering the class lots happy bakers when all said and done. Maybe a bit of Prosecco during classhelped bring a little extra joy along the way!
Silver Hares Wine Dinner (and a bit of chocolate) February 26th
We’ve sold out each of the last 2 years so please let me know sooner than later if you want to save yourselves a place.
FYI I’ve been checking around and our wine dinner on the average is about $50 lower than comparable wine dinners. This is a way that Kat and the Black Pine are thanking us for the continuing patronage by us, the Silver Hares.
The theme for the wine night is International wines. We’ll have wines from France, Spain, New Zealand and Australia.
Michel Auclair, hosting the wine presentations (one of two Silver Hare Sommeliers) will give away 2 bottles of wine courtesy of Kat and the Black Pine. Awarding the wine will be based on a quiz Michel will give near the end of the evening so pay attention to his beginning of the evening wine presentation Gonna be interesting to see after generous pours of wine tasting whom will be sharp enough to answer the quiz questions.
