Another great day on the trail, the grooming was sweet and the snow fabulous today, butter on top of hard pack.
Somewhere between 60 and 70 Silver Hares joined us on the trail today, including 21 leaders. Now that the holidays are behind us we are back to our normal average size group.
Our Ice Skating session led by Nancy and Gary Goplin on Jan. 9th was enjoyed by all who attended. There were about 30 or so skaters including some cute little munchkins down to a 5 year old.
Dance Class January 17th 5-7pm at the NATC
This our 3rd dance lesson evening promises to be as fun as the last 2. Seeing Jens and Heather do the demo dancing is very cool, they are world class athletes. The instruction is awesome, a literally step by step instructional format where you learn one movement at a time individually, repeat the movement until comfortable add the next movement etc. The music is added only after the partners have practiced the movements for a bit. Singles are welcome, we will find a partner for you! Cost $25 pp

This year’s Silver Hares donation resulted in an amazing $11,060 being awarded to our young skier Madeleine Wilkie. These funds will allow Madeleine to compete nationally and in Europe this season. Competing at national level – let alone world level – would have been very difficult if not impossible for her without these funds.
